 Reimundo and Utahna Barros have been the proud owners
of Gasparito Restaurant for the past 5 years. Reimundo (Rei),
native born, and Utahna, American, met while going to college in
Indiana and soon after married on the island. They have been
living and working on the island for the past 32 years. Having
seen two children, Tanya and Dan, go through and graduate from
college Rei and Utahna decided to devote their energy into something
else they could do together.
During the past 5 years the couple has made significant modifications
to the restaurant such as the addition of the outdoor patio, the
renovation of the 120 year old "Cunucu House", and the addition of an
exterior wall. The couple has enjoyed not only presenting the
best of Aruba's local cuisine but also greeting the many visitors that
come to Gasparito while vacationing in the island of Aruba.
